Country of Origin: Breed was developed in the early 1800's to be used for dispatching rabbits, rats and snakes. Came from crosses of a number of terriers including Dandie Dinmonts which have given them their distinctive topknot.

Character: Playful, alert and extremely intelligent.

Temperment: Good with children so long as they don't tease it. Shy around strangers.

Coat: Medium length, straight hard hair.

Care Pluck coat about every three months. Groom with brush and comb once a week.

Colour: Blue/tan or clear sandy

Comments: Care must be taken when they are around small animals such as cats as they were bred to be hunters; only one unneutered male per household; fun loving and personable.
